Eli Turns 4!

This weekend, Ryan, Jaxson, Heather, and I headed to Ft. Wayne to celebrate my nephew's fourth birthday. Chad stayed home to paint the basement! (It looks fantastic!)

Here's the handsome four year old!

On Saturday afternoon, we enjoyed the warm, sunny day at the park for a couple of hours. Ryan enjoyed running around after sitting in the car for three hours. Heather was such a huge help this weekend. I couldn't have made it without her!

On Saturday night, we went to my sister Amy's house for supper. Ashleigh shared her song she wrote. She played the guitar and sang it to us. She is quite the talented song writer! (Especially for 10 years old)

The boys enjoyed rough housing with their Uncle Brad.

On Sunday afternoon, Eli had a Peter Pan Birthday party. Look how excited he is about his Peter Pan figurines.

My sister, Becca, made an amazing Pirate ship cake.

Everyone was supposed to dress up as either pirates or a character from the movie. I have to say, Jaxson was the cutest little pirate there!

On the way home we saw this hilarious limo! Heather and I laughed so hard!

The Holy Family Came to Visit Today

Today we were downstairs in the basement cleaning up our mess from this past weekend. Ryan was playing with a curtain rod. He had it standing straight up. Here was our conversation:
R- Mommy, I, Joseph.

Me- Who?

R- I, Joseph and you, Mary.

Me- Oh, I'm Mary and you are Joseph.

R- Yeah, baby brother is Jesus. He's sleeping. (Jaxson was upstairs taking a nap!)

Me- (big grin!) You're so sweet!

Isn't he? I LOVE THIS BOY!

Update on my Grandma

I just got a call from my mom. I guess they are going to have to put in a pacemaker for my Grandma because her heartbeat is all over the place. Please pray for a successful surgery! Thanks!

One on One Fellowship

On Sunday, Duane, our pastor gave a wonderful sermon about fellowship in the church. He talked about three different levels of fellowship including one on one fellowship. On Sunday night, we were able to experience some awesome one on one fellowship with a new family from our church, the Wilkinsons(spelling?). There is Mark, our new worship leader; Veronica, a very wise woman of God; Ben, an 8 year old with GREAT hair, and Christianna, 18 months and so adorable. (They also have an 18 year old daughter in college!) They came over to the house around 5:30 and we ate supper. We talked for awhile before Chad and Mark broke out the guitars and jammed for two hours. Chad hasn't done that for a long time so it was great for him. They also showed off their card tricks to each other. We had to pull them away from each other so the kids could get to bed. We really enjoyed our time getting to know them and hope to be able to do it again!

Can you tell they had fun together!
So cute, Jaxson was already asleep!
Praise Jam!

As I was writing this post, my mom called and said my Grandma Walden had a mini stroke today. I would appreciate it if you would keep her in your prayers. Thanks!

Spring Like Weather

We finally got some warm weather today (thanks, Karmen for sending some our way!) I took both boys out twice today to get some fresh air and play! Ryan had fun playing baseball and riding his Gator (until it ran out of batteries). Jaxson enjoyed playing in his excerisaucer.

After a while we went to the backyard to play on the play set. Ryan had fun going down the slide!

Jaxson got to swing in a outside swing for the first time! He would just giggle with joy.
He even fell asleep like Ryan used to do!

Ryan of course is more brave on the swing this year. He likes to be grabbed, pulled up real high and let go! He would just laugh! It was good to see him have so much fun outside. And he took a REALLY good nap!

I, of course am enjoying taking pictures OUTSIDE with NATURAL lighting. I got so many good pictures today, I couldn't decide which ones to post so I posted them all!

The Last Couple of Days

While I was doing my internship marathon, Chad took Ryan to Splash Harbor in Mansfield. It is a Comfort Inn with a mini indoor water park. He loved it, especially going down the slide....a gillion times!
I got most of my internship stuff done but not quite all of it :( However, it won't take me much longer to finish though!

Jaxson spent the night with Nana and Papa!

Tonight we headed to Bob Evan's for dinner and then to the library for a Chip Reichter concert. Chip is a Christian children's musician. We had never seen him in concert but have one of his CD's. We were so excited when we found out he was coming to Wooster. It lasted about hour and was GREAT!!! It was a FUN family night!

Ryan loved singing, dancing, and clapping his hands.

Jaxson danced so much he fell asleep in Daddy's arms! :)
