Celebrating Fall!

We had fun today celebrating fall. It was a beautiful day outside! We participated in the Amherst Parade which is basically dressing up and then following the high school band down the street. But Ryan and Jaxson enjoyed it.

Their costumes were made by Chad's Grandma. Jax has a J on his shirt.

It is sponsored by the Amherst Fire Station so they had a fire truck out for the kids to look at.

This is Benjamin. He goes to Marie's house twice a week. He tells everyone that Ryan is his best friends. Isn't he a doll?

After our "parade" the fire station gave out donuts and apple cider.
When we got home, we started carving pumpkins. We have had our pumpkins (four of them) sitting on our front porch for a while. When I went to bring in one of them, it was rotten on the bottom. Someone (hmm, I wonder who that could be?) decided to pick it up and not put down very gently. So we just carved three :(

Jaxson had fun being on the table apart of all the action!

Ryan was cheering on Daddy as he was carving his pumpkin!

Ryan is all about his name...writing it and spelling it. So when I asked him what he wanted to put on his pumpkin, he said, "Ryan" So we carved his name...well the best we could!

Chad made the "Jesus" pumpkin and I made the smiley face for Jaxson because he is always happy! :)

Blessed!

Blessed!

We are blessed in so many ways. Two healthy boys, two good jobs that we love, a beautiful house, wonderful family and friends and much more. Truly blessed.

And lately, it seems as though the blessings are overflowing!

A couple of weeks ago, we got this beautiful picture that retails at $450.00 for only $50.00. (from Maibach's)

Then this week, we got this beautiful double dresser. It was "damaged" because someone put a label on the top of the dresser before the finish was dry. So when Maibach's called Stanley Furniture, they told them just to keep it so we got it for FREE!!!! It retails for $899.00! Now that is a BIG blessing! A dresser for Ryan was actually on my wish list. If you can't see, it is a very dark blue color which matches the room great! Oh, and you can't even see the "damage" unless you shine a bright light right on it.

Like we haven't been blessed enough, last night I was on Facebook and a girl I sort of know said she had two tickets to the OSU game for tomorrow. I commented to her, "If you are serious, we will take them." Later that night she replied saying we could have them!!! So Chad and our friend, Aaron, are going to the game next week. I am glad he can have some fun "guy" time!
We are blessed!

Wordless Wednesday

Happy Fall!

I have been wanting to take a family picture for awhile so today before church (it doesn't start until 11am) we headed out to the park to take one. I think it turned out pretty good considering the camera was sitting on a chair and doing it by self timer! Now I can hang a family picture on our wall!

I love the weekends!

I love weekends, especially when we don't have anything planned.

Friday night after the boys went to bed, Chad and I played a couple of games of Sorry then talked the evening away. Today, we took the boys to the Great Lakes Science Center in the morning. Jaxson is really starting to enjoy it more now that he is getting around better and there really isn't any stopping him. It is a perfect place for him to perfect his climbing skills, which he LOVES to do.

Love this picture!
My climber trying to keep up with his big brother
Love this one too! I am really starting to try to take more pictures of us with the boys.

Jaxson loved standing at the side. He would bend down, grab a ball, then throw it out!

I love his eyes in this one!

So busy!
Super Slide

It's this a cool pic!
He loves this car!

If you haven't noticed, I gave Jaxson a haircut last night.
Is a little shorter then I expected but I do like it!

Oh how I love my boys!
After naps, we all went outside and did a little yard work. We have a bunch of dead patches in the backyard so Chad started raking it up. Between playing in the wet sand box and helping daddy do "hardwork" as Ryan put it, they got pretty muddy.
After yardwork, Ryan and I jetted off to the small movie theatre in town and saw "Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs." It was weird but really good too. Ryan and I had so much fun talking after the movie about all the different food it rained. He just kept on laughing about how silly it was. When we got home, we told Daddy all about it and then found the real book and read it. It is very different yet very similar. I am so glad we went!
