Steak and Shake

..or Milk and Shake! (as Ryan called it after we left!)

Tonight, we had to get some pics printed so we went to Steak and Shake for dinner.

It was Ryan and Jaxson's first time and they were excited about getting french fries and milk shakes.

We had a blast! It really is a kid friendly restaurant as they give the kids lots to do while you wait on your food.

You can decorate a car, color on your menu, put on hats, and sip yummy milk shakes!

A great ending to the weekend!

Go Away Flu Bug!

This week has NOT been all smiles! The flu bug flew our way so we dealt with two sick boys this week. Throwing up and diarrhea is NOT a great way to spend the week but the boys were troopers and have bounced back. I just hope the flu bug does fly this direction any time soon nor to your house.

We are looking forward to a weekend with NOTHING on the calendar!

Families come in all different shapes and sizes!

Some days you look like people...

....and some days, you look like snow people!

You know you have a good Daddy when...

...he lets you paint his foot black...

...to add to your...

...penguin family!

Bye Bye Snow!

The snow has FINALLY melted at our house after being around since Christmas! We enjoyed it while it was here but I am glad to see the ground again. Ryan has come quite the snow baby! Everyday after we got home he would go outside and play in the snow for at least an hour. He didn't mind that it was FREEZING outside.

The last night before the snow started melting, Ryan and I made a small snowman together...one of my favorite things about snow!

Our Weekend

This weekend, my parents came to visit.

On Friday night, after a yummy dinner at Moosehead, we went bowling with our church.

Ryan's getting to be a pretty good bowler!

He made friends with Emma and Tyler, who go to our church and their mom is one of my colleagues.

Saturday was spent going shopping with my mom then cooking and playing games. Ryan got to play Candyland and Go Fish with Grammy and Grandpa.

Saturday night, Chad, Ryan and I went to see Chipmunks the Squekueal in Amherst while my parents watched Jaxson. Ryan enjoyed going out with just mommy and daddy. He also LOVED the movie.

My parents, Chad, and I had fun playing our new game, "Wits and Wagers" this weekend.

On Sunday, we had a big breakfast then went to church.

We tried to get a picture of them together but Jaxson wasn't too impressed.

But we did manage to get a good one with my parents :)

Grammy and Grandpa taught Ryan a new card game...Slap Jack! It is his new favorite game!

Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for a fun weekend!

Back to Christmas!

I wanted to share some of the great Christmas gifts we got this year!

We got this trash can holder for the both of us! I love it because....

.... it looks better than a regular old trash can.

and

...it gives me extra drawer space.

We also got some things to add the finishing touch on our master bathroom.

We got 2 sets of navy blue towels and washcloths.

And two big bathroom rugs!

We also got this FABULOUS flower arrangement from Amber! I had found the cool wood flowers at Ikea and she did the rest!

It is the perfect finishing touch to both an empty counter and to tie everything together

The girl has some TALENT!

Happy Snow Day!

With all the snow and frigid temperatures, we don't spend much time outside.

Good thing we thought to bring the outside in!

The boys have been enjoying their swings Daddy put up in our basement! Jaxson will even stand at the door, point, and grunt to tell us he wants to go swing.

STAY WARM!!!

Christmas: Part 2....Finally!

On Christmas morning, we had to wait until the boys woke up! I think we were more excited then they were!

Here they are before they went down to see their presents!

Ryan got us both small gifts from Target! He helped pick them out but we made the suggestion. He was so excited about buying them, telling us about them, wrapping them, and having us unwrap them. In fact, we opened our gifts before he opened any of his. I got new potholders and Daddy got coffee.

This year we got a lot of our gifts from a local resale shop. The kids don't care and they get more because the toys are cheaper!

From us, Jaxson got a mailbox and car race toy.

Santa brought Ryan his Marshmallow Bow and Arrow that he REALLY wanted!

Santa brought Jaxson a Veggie Tale Castle.

We got Ryan some Rescue Heroes!
We're not quite sure who likes the Marshmallow Bow and Arrow better...Ryan or Jaxson?
Ryan loves shooting it but Jaxson LOVES eating the marshmallows!

It was a great Christmas as a family!

Later, we went down to Chad's parents where the boys got spoiled even more!

Question? Is it too late to send out Christmas cards? I haven't got some out (mainly my side of the family. Sorry!) But is that stupid to do?
